It's officially Christmas on Canal Street! If you get the chance, check out the fabulous jazz guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel.

Here I am waiting to listen to Dr. Walter Brown present a paper, chai-nog latte in hand. The 60th annual ETS meeting in Providence was great. I'm looking forward to attending both the ETS and SBL meetings next year in New Orleans.

Jelly and Chinese Food

So, recently, I had the most New Orleans dish I have ever eaten while living here. Keep an open mind about this... I had Cajun Pecan Pie topped with Caramelized Lump Crab Meat. It was the most amazing dessert ever! Life is good.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!

I am intensely engaged. It is awesome. Come one, come all to the King-Solomon wedding!

Seriously folks, I'm engaged to the most wonderful woman.

See how excited she is?

We're going to get married on June 7th in Pensacola.

New Job

With the onset of a new academic year, I am starting a new job. I'll be working in the Center for New Testament Textual Studies and as the Administrative Assistant (refer to the picture below for an accurate portrayal) to Dr. Stevens and Dr. Warren. It has been a great job so far. I will still be working in the Library on Saturdays to make a little extra money and make time for homework. This should be an excellent academic year!
